Why do I log my mistakes?
I have come across many traders who detest been wrong and would never admit it, whether it’s an ego thing or the inability to admit they are wrong.
I love learning by previous mistakes, and after initial 6 months of trading I kept making the same mistakes over and over again, whether its:
- Bad entry
- Not setting a stop loss
- Exiting trade to quickly
- NOT exiting a trade when price action is telling me to
- Letting losers run and run…
I have categorised my mistakes in a structured format so I can reference back to the mistake.
When I am in a live trade I trawl the mistake charts to see if there may be an occurrence of the mistake I am missing in the live trade.
